Waiting For The Sun

When we seek to preserve the universe as it is we cannot see what it can become. We see the plants as immortal, living in the circle of life, never ending, but they do not just stay the same, they evolve. As we move into the age of bits bytes and qubits, everything moves with us, as humans we are not the end, we are just a part of the whole.

In the waiting for the sun series I decided to transform the known into the unknown. Distilling what were once plant photographs(Karl Blossfeldt), into a digital amalgamation of past and future. Carrying on the tradition of transformation.

Spread Your Leaves

As we grow to be ourselves in full, we struggle, we fight to for ourselves. Not knowing why, not knowing what we will become, but we find our purpose only through this process. So grow, spread your leaves and let the sun in.

In Bloom

Our time in this world is finite, but the universe is never ending. When we dwell on that which has no end, we grow, our mind expands as its limits are forgotten. When we dwell on the finite, we shrink, we become docile to the cage we’ve chosen. When we seek the unseek-able, we are in bloom.

Sow The Seed

We are created in the dark, we are lost in the dark, but we find our way in the dark. The seeds we sow, don’t know where they are, but they look for the light, they search for the light because without it they will never make it. Sow the seed in the dark, so it may find the light.
